Short History of the Nebraska Cornhuskers
Nebraska's football program began in 1890 and has played in Memorial Stadium since 1923, selling out every home game since 1962. The Cornhuskers have claimed 46 conference championships, spanning conferences like the WIUFA, MVC, Big Eight, Big 12, and Big Ten. They also secured five consensus national titles in 1970, 1971, 1994, 1995, and 1997, and appeared in several other title games.
